Donate to BEARR
Please support BEARR and our network of partner organisations by donating today. Click on the links below to donate to one or both of our two funds.
Your donations, whether one-off or regular, are greatly appreciated by us and even more so by our partner organisations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Our partners are small CSOs, for whom even a small grant can make a huge difference.
Since 2022, The BEARR Trust has responded to the devastating impact of Russia’s war on Ukraine by supporting grassroots efforts to support the most vulnerable affected by the war. We have raised over £600,000 through our Ukraine Appeal and funded over 60 community-based organisations who provided food, clothing, shelter, medicine, transport and trauma support for thousands of people in need. The Emergency Appeal for Ukraine and Moldova is now closed and information about it can be found here.
As we transition from emergency aid to long-term support, we have launched the Ukraine Community Resilience Fund — a new initiative focused on sustaining the efforts of local organisations working on the front lines of recovery. The Fund will continue to provide small grants to local organisations that offer mental health support, integration initiatives, and practical recovery projects — helping communities not only survive, but rebuild stronger. For more information about our Ukraine Community Resilience Fund, click here.
Donations to our General Fund are used for our regular grant-giving activities, fundraising events and management of the trust. Most people working for BEARR are volunteers, enabling us to keep our operating costs low and allocate as much as possible each year to our Small Grants Scheme (SGS). Since launching the SGS in 2006, we have funded over 150 projects, contributing also to the development of civil society in the countries where we work. For more on the SGS, click here.
If you are interested in supporting our work further, please also check out our Get Involved page for more information on volunteering and fundraising opportunities, and our Friends of BEARR network, for long-term supporters of the charity.
Thank you again for your support!
